Resolve in favor of Josiah Morrill, reported by the joint standing committee on sick & wounded soldiers, was refused a second reading in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee on the incorporation of towns to whom was referred the several petitions of Joshua Young & als Jeremiah Gordon & als John Marble & als John Drew & als William Quint & al reported a reference of the same to the committee on the incorporation of Parishes &c - and the House accepted the report in concurrence with the Senate.

Ordered that Messrs Adams of Portland, Emerson of York & Ames of Bath with such as the Senate may join be a committee to take into consideration the several applications for Lotteries &c Read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Joseph Seavey & als granting an order of Notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

The Committee on Finance, reported the following, order, Ordered, That the committee on Finance be directed to prepare & report a Bill providing for the assessment and collection of a State Tax of Fifty thousand dollars - and the report was accepted and the order passed.
