Davis agst the setting off of that part of Palmyra called the L - - of Isaac Smith & als of Palmyra on the same subject - - of Inhab. of Chesterville agst setting off part of said town to Fayette - - of Inh. of Wayne against the petition of Noah Chandler & als were severally read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Petition of Benjamin Fiske & als for authority to construct a Canal near Oldtown - of Eden & - of Mt Desert for aid in the erection of a Bridge across Mt Desert narrows by Lottery, grant of land or money - - of John Gilmore & als for authority to construct locks on Eastern River in Hancock County - of William Lowden & als to be incorporated for the purpose of improving the navigation of Penobscot River - also Remonstrance of James Crosby & als agst the said petition of William Lowden & als - were severally read & referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals. Remonstrance of William Maxwell in behalf of Thompson pond plantation to be relieved from the payment of certain taxes, was read and referred to the committee on Finance.
