Resolve relative to the State Road north of the Bingham Purchase was called up & referred to Messrs Smith of Nobleboro, Redington of Vassalboro & Cushing of Munson.

Memorial of William D WIlliamson on the subject of a History of the State of Maine written by himself, and requesting the patronage of the State, was read & referred to the committee on Literature. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Thomas V Tolman & al praying relief in consequence of having become bail for one Asa S Stiles, was read & referred to Messrs Phelps of Fairfield, Evans of Gardiner & Dyer of Gorham.

Petition of Aaron Mason for authority to maintain a gate on a certain highway in the town of Bethel, was read & referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Benjamin Whitney & als praying that a certain piece of land may be set off from the town of North Yarmouth to Cumberland was read & referred to the committee on Parishes &c - Sent up for concurrence.

Remonstrance of John L Weymouth & als against the petition of the inhabitants of Palmyra, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill - additional to an Act entitled An act establishing the County of Waldo - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Additional Resolve authorizing the purchase of books for the use of the Legislature - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
