Secretary of State informing the Legislature that he has contracted with Thomas Todd to execute the printing for the State the current political year & transmitting a copy of said contract and of the Bond taken from said Todd. -

Resolve for making the State road from Baring to Houlton near Baskahegan, was read once & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading.

Bill - authorizing the owners of the falls & mill privileges in Neguasset Falls to erect a dam thereon, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

An Additional Resolve for opening and clearing a road from the South line of Township number two Old Indian Purchase on the East side of Penobscot River to the Metanawcoock Stream, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate

Resolve providing for the establishment of Libraries & the promotion of Education, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve relating to the State road north of the Bingham Purchase, was reported in a new draft which was adopted, and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

On motion of Mr Smith of Nobleboro' Ordered, that the committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire whether any alteration in the present terms of the Supreme Judicial Court, or any additional terms of that Court are necessary & expedient - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of the Proprietors of the Northwardly half of township No six, ninth range in the County of Penobscot
