We marched out of our encampment yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. We made a road of our own as we went along, and the prisoners had considerable work to do in filling up the ditches. We passed through Bristo at [inserted] not far from nine o'clock a.m., when we made a short halt. General S. and staff called at Gen. Newton's head quarters and we had a fine time over the state of things. Genl. Newton was very indignant
