On motion by Mr Morrill of Limerick,

 Ordered, That the joint standing committee on Literary Institutions be instructed to inquire into the expediency making a grant of land or money to Limerick Academy. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Mary D Fisk and others against the traffic in Ardent Spirts, was read and referred to the committee who have that subject under consideration. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the order relative to the claim made by the town of Castine against the State for the support of William James a pauper ect, that legislation is inexpedient, was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Report on the petition of Johnson Lunt and others granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House nonconcurred
