15. Mr. O'Brien being present was conducted to the Governor & Council by Mr. Chandler and was qualified and took his seat at the Senate Board.

The order, introduced yesterday by Mr. Randall, that a Committee be appointed to Select one regular, officiating Minister of the Gospel of each denomination in the town of Augusta, and request them to officiate in rotation as Chaplains at this Board, was taken up and passed, and Messrs Randall, Emmons and Latham were appointed said Committee.

The Secretary of the Senate laid upon the table a list of unfinished business referred from the last to the present Legislature, read, and on motion of Mr. Barnard, ordered to lie on the table.

On motion of Mr. Clark, Ordered, that Messrs. Clark, Prescott and Fish be a Committee, with such as the House may join, to wait on Robert P. Dunlap and inform him that he has been elected by the People, Governor of the State of Maine for the current political year; and that the two Houses of the Legislature are ready to convene in the Representatives Hall, that in their presence he may take and subscribe the oaths of office required by the Constitution, read and passed.
