Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Committee on Public Building to inquire into the expediency of warming the State House by Hot Air Furnaces -read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions to inquire into the expediency of so amending the third Section of an Act approved March 11, 1834, providing for the education of Youths, that whenever any Superintending School Committee shall expel from any school any obstinately disobedient and disorderly scholar, the same may be removed by some speedy process of law -read and passed in concurrence.


Communications were received from William F. Vaughan, Clark of the Judicial Courts for the County of Cumberland and Joseph A Deane, Clerk of the Judicial Courts for Hancock County in relation to Capital offence and Conviction therefor in those Counties -severally read and referred to the Committee on Capital Punishment. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
