Also, of so far modifying or explaining an Act approved January 21, 1834, entitled "An Act additional to an Act regulating Judicial Process and proceedings," that the same shall not be held to operate retrospectively on actions which had been previously commenced and were then pending in any Court of this State ----- read and passed in concurrence.

Petition of John Means and others to be incorporated by the name of "The Forest Grove Cemetery" -- read and referred to the Committee on Parishes, in concurrence.

Petition of William White and others to build a bridge over Muddy River in Topsham - read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, in concurrence.

Petition of David Marble and others, to be annexed to the town of Shirland ---- read and referred to the Committee on Division of Towns, in concurrence.

"Bill authorizing the United States of America to take and hold lands within this State for the purpose of erecting Light Houses thereon" came up from the House further amended, and on motion of Mr Chandler ordered to lie upon the table.
