Mr. Boutelle Waterville has leave of absence from & after tomorrow during the remainder of the session.

Mr. Morrill of Limerick has leave of absence from and after this day during the remainder of the session

Bill - to incorporate the Kennebec Log Driving Company, was read 1st and 2nd time & Monday next at 10 o clock assigned for a 3 reading.

Bill - creating the Village of Augusta into a corporation for certain purposes, was read a 3d. time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - authorizing the erection of a Dam across Winegance Creek, was read 1st & 2d. time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d. reading.

Bill - making legal the testimony of parties in certain cases, laid on the table by Mr. Perkins of Kennebunkport was read 1st & 2nd time & Monday next at 10 o clock assigned for 3d. reading.

Bill - An Act providing for the election of County Commissioners, was read a third time when Mr. Jarvis of Ellsworth moved a reference of the subject to the next Legislature, and that question was taken by yeas & nays and decided in the negative as follows, yeas 83 nays 91 [see appendix page 411.] Mr. Chase of Sebec then moved an indefinite postponement of the subject, and
