Bill additional requiring the use of broad rimmed wheels in the tow of Hallowell (reported in the House by the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals on petition of Ephraim H. Lasnbard & others) was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

On motion of Mr. Bartlett the Senate reconsider their vote of the 30th of January last, whereby they accepted the report of the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, giving leave to withdraw on petition of Ebeneger Sawyer and others, and recommit the same. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

The Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals reported order of notice on petition of Elijah Grover and others -- read and accepted in concurrence.

Bill additional regulating Elections was, on motion of Mr Purinton, taken up. Mr Burnam proposed to amend the same by inserting after the word "tendered" in the 34th line Sec. 1. the following words, to wit; or upon taking said oath, if said officers are satisfied from other evidence adduced in the case that such person is not duly qualified [all underlined] - and the question of adopting said amendment was ordered to be taken by yeas and nays. And said Bill, on motion of Mr Chandler, was ordered to lie on the table for further consideration.
