Mr Severance, from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions reported legislation inexpedient on an order relative to Superintending School Committees excluding from schools obstinately disobedient scholars - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Report of the Committee on State Lands on an order relative to the probable number of Officers and Soldiers of the Revolutionary War was taken up and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to regulate the execution of the punishment of death was take up and Friday next assigned for its further consideration.

Bill additional to an Act to regulate Banks by prohibiting the emission and circulation of Bank Bills of a small denomination (reported in a new draft by Mr Purinton from the Select Committee to which said Bill was committed) read once, Mr Jarvis proposed sundry amendments and the further consideration of said Bill and amendments, was postponed till Tuesday next at ten oclock, in the forenoon.
