Petition of Ambrose Talbot and others, for the repeal of the law relative to the inspection of mackerel, passed March 9, 1832, came up from the House referred to a Special Committee, consisting on the part of the House of Messrs Jewett of Portland, Small of Machias and Mowry of Lubec, with such as the Senate may join - read and on motion of Mr. Randall ordered to lie on the table.
