Resolve in favor of Parsonsfield Seminary was read the second time and the question of passing the same to be engrossed, in concurrence with the House, was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit: Yeas Messrs. Allen, Bartlett, Brown, Burnham, Clark, Fish, F. Greene, Latham, Mantor, McIntire, Pierce, Prescott, Purinton and Smith - 14. Nays. Messrs. Barnard, Miller, McLellan, Read and Tobin - 5.

Resolve for making a road from Weeks' Mills in Brighton to Moosehead Lake (reported in the House by the Committee on State Lands, to which the report and said Resolve had been recommitted) was read once and indefinitely postponed, in concurrence.

Bill establishing the Standard weight of potatos [potatoes] came up from the House further amended. The Senate nonconcur with the House in their proposed amendment and indefinitely postpone the same. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill creating a Corporation for the purpose of constructing a Turnpike road in the town of Calais came up amended. The Senate adopt the proposed amendment and refuse said Bill a passage. Sent down for concurrence.
