331. Afternoon. Bill for the relief of Poor Debtors was read the second time and amended. Mr. Purinton moved to postpone the same indefinitely, and the question of indefinite postponement was decided by yeas and nays in the negative as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs. Chandler, Clark, Latham, McIntire and Purinton, 5. Nays. Messrs. Allen, Barnard, Bartlett, Brown, Burnham, Emmons, Farnham, Fish, Greene, Mantor, Miller, McLellan, Pierce, Prescott, Randall, Read and Smith, 17. And the same was passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill additional respecting Manufacturing Companies was read once and referred to next Legislature, in concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the proprietors of South Thomaston Parsonage House was read the second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Bill authorizing the town of Bath to take stock of the Merrymeeting Bridge, Resolve authorizing Attornies in the Court of Common Pleas to practice law in the Supreme Judicial Court in certain cases (as amended) " in favor of Gilman Turner and William Saunders (as amended) " providing for the compensation of the Chaplain of the Senate (laid on the table by Mr. Randall) Bill additional concerning parishes, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed.
