Bill establishing Howland Academy was, on motion of Mr. Bartlett, taken up. The Senate nonconcur the House in passing said Bill to be engrossed and refer the same to next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to set off a part of Starks annex the same to Mercer was taken up. The Senate nonconcur the House in passing said Bill to be engrossed and refer the same to the next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Samuel G. Bodfish was read once and indefinitely postponed, in concurrence.

Mr. Greene of Somerset, from the Commitee on Division and Alteration of Counties, reported leave to withdraw on petition of Peter H. Greene and others -- read and on motion of Mr. Greene of York, ordered to lie on the table.

The same Gentleman, from the same Committee, reported reference to next Legislature on petitions of the Selectmen of Gouldsborough, town of Ellsworth and sundry other towns -- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.
