Resolve to amend the Constitution relative to Bail was taken up and further considered; and the same was amended; and ordered, or motion of Mr. Johnson, to divide the question and pass upon each Resolve separately. And the question of passing the first Resolve to be engrossed as amended, was decided in the negative, (the Constitution requiring two thirds) by yeas and nays as follows, to wit: Yeas [Underlined] Messrs. Fish, Jarvis, Kelsey, Latham, Mantor, McIntire, Miller, Pierce, Purrington, Robinson, Severance, Spear, Staples, Strickland and Talbot ___ 15 Nays [Underlined] Messrs. Allen, Clark, Frye, Greene, Jewett, Johnson, Marrow, Swift and Weeks -- 9 And the question of passing the second Resolve to be engrossed was decided unanimously in the negative as follows, to wit: Nays [Underlined] Messrs.
