[Williamsburg.]

Petition of the plantation of Williamsburg for an Act of Incorporation. Read and committed to the Joint Standing committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

[Hawkers & Pedlars -]

Ordered, That Mr Little of Bucksport, Mr Irish of Gorham, & Mr Vose of Augusta be a committee to take into consideration the Laws relating to Hawkers and Pedlars and Petty Chapman and see what alterations are necessary to be made therein, with have to report by bill or otherwise, at the next session of the Legislature.

[Governor requested to return order notifying him of the election of Senators &c &c]

Ordered, That Col Reed of Waldoborough go with a message to the Governor, requesting him to return the order which passed this House yesterday in concurrence with the Senate, authorizing him to furnish John Holmes Esqr and John Chandler Esqr with the necessary credentials to qualify them to take their seat as Senators in the Congress of the United States.

Ordered, That the Secretary of State be directed to notify John Holmes Esqr and John Chandler Esqr that they have severally been elected Senators, by the Legislature to represent this State in the Senate of the United States. Sent up for concurrence.
