A communication from Elias Stowell Esquire, signifying his acceptance of the office of Counsellor - was received - read and sent down -

[Remonstrances against the division of County Lincoln]

The following remonstrances - committed in the House to the Committee who have under consideration the subject of the division of the County of Lincoln - came up for concurrence - were read and committed to the same Committee in concurrence with the House - viz - Remonstrance of Committee of the inhabitants of the town of Harpswell - " of Convers Lilly et als - inhabitants of Dresden " of the Town of Bristol " of the inhabitants of the town of Whitefield and of Committee of inhabitants of town of - Boothbay -

[order concerning Land Agents]

Order of the House that the Joint Standing Committee on State Lands be instructed to enquire into the doings of the several land agents - with instructions to report forthwith to this House - came up for concurrence- Read and nonconcurred -

[Message to the House]

Order that a message be sent to the House proposing that when a convention of both Houses is formed for the purpose of choosing a Treasurer of State - previous to that choice - they proceed to qualify Elias Stowell Esquire agreeable to
