The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed Bill - to incorporate the town of Maxfield - was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

[Resolve finally passed.]

The same committee reported as duly engrossed - Resolve, confirming the doings of the Trustees of North Yarmouth Academy - in favor of the Penobscot Indians - relating to the Judicial Courts in York County - was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee - Mills-]

Ordered that the committee on New trials be directed to consider whether any & if any what alteration or amendments may be necessary in an act entitled An act for the support & regulation of Mills - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - Shapleigh -]

Bill to authorized the sale of ministerial lands in Shapleigh, was called up & referred to Messrs Wood, Morrill & Page.

[Committee - inspection of Salted provisions -]

Ordered that Messrs Spring of S. Isaac Adams, & Morrill of C. be a committee with such as the Senate may join to take into consideration the expediency of altering the Inspection law respecting salted provisions, which may have been inspected in other States & brought into this State - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Petition -]

Petition of Amos Rich & others of the County of Penobscot on the subject of the Agency of the Public lands on Penobscot river - was read & referred to Messrs Hutchinson, McIntosh & Mowry with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - York Lodge]

Bill to incorporate York Lodge, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
