[Resolve - Parker Noyes]

Resolve on petition of Parker Noyes, was read & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Doct Rose - State Prison Accounts]

The committee on so much of the Governors Message as relates to the States Prison, reported that they had examined the account of the Superintendent and found it correct, and that the sum of $ 914 35/100 appears now to be due him - The report accepted in the Senate came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

[Convention proposed to qualify Counsellor]

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary.

Mr Speaker, The Senate propose a convention of both Houses at 11 o'clock this day to qualify John Balkam Esqr Counsellor elect - The House concurred and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed. Bill, to incorporate the Trustees of the funds of the 1st Baptist Society in Surry - to incorporate the Proprietors of the East meeting house in Machias - which were severally passed to enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, - Resolve, in favor of John Carleton 2d - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Thomas Fillebrown & als for Bank at Winthrop - was read & referred to the committee on Banks & Banking. Sent up for concurrence.

[John Balkham - qualified as Counsellor.]

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses met in convention in the Representatives Chamber when John Balkam Esquire Counsellor elect came in & took & subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify him for the discharge of the duties of the office.
