Mr Watts & Mr Hall obtained leave of absence after Monday next and Mr Sands of Lyman after tomorrow -

[Resolve - Cumberland Bank]

The committee to whom was referred the Resolve increasing the Capital Stock of the Cumberland Bank, reported the same with an amendment in the 4th article by striking out the words from B. to C. and tomorrow at nine oclock was assigned to take up the consideration of the subject.

[Report - division of Lincoln Co]

Report on sundry petitions & remonstrances relating to the division of the County of Lincoln and the formation of a new County on the West side of Kennebec River, granting leave to withdraw came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - & the House concurred.

[Bill - States Prison -]

Bill providing for the government of the States Prison & for the punishment of Convicts, which passed this House 18th inst. with sundry amendments came from the Senate nonconcurred as to a part of the amendments then made, viz. at G & H in Sec. 6 at I & J in Sec. 7. at K &L. in section 8th. at P. in Sec. 23d at S & T in Sec. 25 - also in striking out the 26 sec. and further amended at A in 8th Sec. and at P in the 23d sec. The House recede from all their amendments aforesaid excepting at K & L in the 7th Sec. and at P in the 23d Sec. and adhere to their votes adopting those amendments and nonconcurd the Senate in the amendments made by them at A & P and passed the Bill to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
