[Report - Selectmen of Mercer -]

Report on Remonstrance of Selectmen Mercer - referring the subject to the next Legislature - was read & accepted.

[Resolve - Messenger of House]

Resolve in favor of the Messenger of the House & for other purposes, came from the Senate in a New Draft for concurrence & the House concurred. [This entry should have been on the page proceeding as the Second act of the House this afternoon.]

Mr Harnden of Woolwich obtained leave of absence after today.

[Time of final adjournment agreed upon -]

An order came from the Senate directing that both Branches finally adjourn at 11 oclock tomorrow morning for concurrence - & the House concurred.

[Resolve - pay Roll of House]

Resolve on the Pay Roll of the House of Representatives, reported by the Committee on that subject, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - dormant title -]

Bill to prevent the buying & selling of dormant titles - came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature. The House reconsidered their vote passing the same to be engrossed.

Mr Ruggles gave notice that he should move a reconsideration of the last vote at 7 oclock this evening.

Adjourned until 1/2 past six oclock this evening.

[Resolve - tax on Counties]

Resolve laying a tax on the several Counties - came from the Senate with a certificate that they had reconsidered all their former votes upon the Resolve & refused it a passage - The House took up the subject & still adhered to their former vote passing the same to be engrossed.
