him that the Legislature are proceeding on the public business of the State and ready to receive any communication he may be pleased to make to them, for concurrence - and the House concurred & Messrs Boutelle of Waterville, Blaney of Bristol & Woodbury of Minot were joined

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Green & Ripley with such as the House may join a committee to take into consideration what measures this Legislature ought to adopt if any relating to the claims of Massachusetts & Maine upon the General Government for disbursements in the last war, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise - and the House concurred and Messrs Adams of Portland, Williams of Swanville & Allen of Norridgewock were joined.

Ordered that the seats of Walter P Carpenter & John Storer each of whom are returned as members of this house from the district of Dixfield, Weld, Mexico, Peru & plantation Not 4 in the County of Oxford & each of whom are present claiming to be duly elected & returned be suspended, until it shall be determined which of them is entitled to hold a seat in this House - read & passed.

Moses Sweat Esqr of Parsonsfield presented his credentials as a member from said town, was duly qualified and took his seat.

Adjourned until nine oclock tomorrow morning.
