Petition of Selectmen of Waterford that the assessment of certain taxes may be made valid, taken from the last years files, referred in Senate to the Committee on New Trials, came down for concurrence & the House concurred.

Petition of Reuben Dodge & als for a revision of the laws establishing Courts of Sessions - - of John H Boody & als on same subject - were, read and referred to a joint committee appointed yesterday on the same subject. Sent up for concurrence -

Ordered, that Messrs Blaney of Bristol, Benson of China & Brown of Baldwin be a committee to enquire what alterations are necessary in the laws concerning foreign attachment - read & passed.

Ordered that Messrs Leonard of Brewer, Hathaway of Bluehill & Carpenter of Sebec, with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to enquire into the expediency of regulating by law the passage of teams &c, over the ice, at the several ferryways on Penobscot River - Sent up for concurrence.

The Report of the Treasurer & accompanying papers, referred in Senate to Messrs Scammon & Southwick with such as the House may join came down for concurrence - The House concurred & Messrs Boutelle of Waterville, Blaney of Bristol, Cummings of Paris, Hall of Camden, & Robinson of Gardiner were joined.

The Committee appointed by the Governor & Council under Resolve of 24th of February last to revise the Fee bill, reported that it is inexpedient to make any alterations therein - The Report accepted in Senate came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of Charles Whitman & als of Waterford that a passage for fish may be opened in Crooked River &c, referred in Senate to the Committee on Interior fisheries, came down for concurrence and the House concurred.
