Report on petition of William Randall, & Smith Baker & als granting an order of Notice, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Petition of the Justices of the Court of Sessions, Washington County for authority to borrow money to erect public buildings in said County, was read & referred to the Committee on County Estimates -

Petition of Joseph Lee & als for a law prohibiting pedlars from vending &c was read & referred to Messrs Chapman of Vienna, Butterfield of Farmington & Wingate of Bath.

Petition of the President & Directors of Cumberland & Oxford Canal Corporation for a Bank to be called the Canal Bank, was read & referred to the Committee on Banks & Banking. Sent up for concurrence

On motion of Genl Fessenden, Ordered, that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to consider the expediency of providing by Law, that writs of certiorari be made writs of right. Sent up for concurrence

Ordered, that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to consider what alteration if any, should be made by law to regulate the assessing and levying of taxes on lands in this State holden by Proprietors in common - Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Ripley & Kelsey with such as the House may join a committee to enquire whether any, and if any what, alterations are necessary in the existing laws relative to Trespass - and the House concurred & Messrs Pike of Bridgton, Burgin of Eastport & Flint of Nobleboro were joined.
