Petition of John D Weston & als for an alteration in time of holding the Courts in Washington County - was read & referred to Messrs Burgin of Eastport, Vance of No 6. & Merrill of Steuben.

Report on petition of Thomas Clark & als, granting leave for a Bill, came down, accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Bill establishing an additional term of the S. J. Court, and C. C. Pleas for the County of Oxford, & for other purposes - was read once, and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a second Reading.

Agreeably to assignment the two branches met in the Representatives Chamber when the convention proceeded by ballot to the choice of a Treasurer of State - and on counting the ballots it appeared the whole number of votes given in was one hundred and forty eight - necessary to a choice seventy five - Elias Thomas Esqr had one hundred & forty eight and was declared chosen.

Petition of Henry Manter & al of New Vineyard to be annexed to Industry - - of Daniel Shaw that a certain piece of land may be set off from Falmouth to Westbrook also Remonstrance of Joseph Blake & als of Brownfield agst. petition of Ichabod Warren & al - were, severally read & referred to the Committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jona. McKenney to be remunerated for arresting John Johnson - - of John Whitney for a New Trial - - of Selectmen of Concord to be repaid the amt paid for support of John Row & family - was read & referred to the Committee on New Trials - Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Temple Lodge to be incorporated, was read & referred to the committee
