The Committee to whom was referred an order directing an enquiry as to the expediency of altering the law regulating Registers of Deeds, reported that it is inexpedient to do so - read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to change the names of certain persons, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bills to incorporate the Thomaston Temperate Society - - to establish the Penobscot Boom Company - were passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolves in addition to a Resolve apportioning State Representatives - - granting compensation two the Chaplains of the Senate & House of Rep - - authorizing the Governor to procure a title to the land upon which the State Arsenal is erected - making an appropriation for State printing - were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Adjourned until nine oclock tomorrow morning.
