Reports on the petitions of Samuel T Mallet - " " of Margaret Minot granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.
Reports, on the petition of Benjamin Nourse & als - " " of Samuel L. Valentine & al - " " of Horatio G Balch & als - " " of Joseph Allen & al. - " " of Wm Allen, President of Bowdoin College - " " of the Selectmen of the town of Bath - granting leave for Bills, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.
The joint standing committee on Literature & Literary Institutions, to whom was referred so much of the Governor's Speech as relates to a Map and Statistical View of the State of Maine have had the subject under consideration, & reported, That they have examined a plan, Sketches, and specimens of a Map and statistical view of the state exhibited by Moses Greenleaf Esqr, and find to be a work on which great attention and labor have been bestowed, and which promises to be executed with skill, accuracy & judgment, and believing it to be replete with knowledge highly useful to the people and important to the State, recommend it to the favorable notice & liberal patronage of the Legislature - and the report was accepted in concurrence with the Senate.
