[Order respecting compensation to James Irish, late Land Agent] Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on State Land be instructed to inquire what compensation is due James Irish for his services and expenditures as Land Agent from the time when he was last paid to the time when he resigned his office with leave to report by Bill on otherwise was read and passed in concurrence.

[Report on the Pet. M. Lawrence & als] Report of petition of Manasheh Lawrence and others came up recommitted for concurrence and the Senate concurred.

[Order'd that the Secretary of State & others employ Messrs. Day and Fraser to do the printing of the State] Report of the Committee appointed to contract for the State printing was taken up accepted and the following order passed in concurrence. "Ordered that the Secretary of State, Secretary of the Senate, Clerk of the House of Representatives and Adjutant General be directed to employ Messrs. Day and Fraser of Portland in the County of Cumberland to do the necessary printing for the State and such as may be ordered by either house of the Legislature until otherwise directed."

[Bills passed to be engrossed] Bill to incorporate the Winthrop Agricultural Society, " to incorporate the Bath Mutual Fire Insurance Company & Bill for the further preservation and improvement of highways as amended, were severally read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
