The subject that I wish to call your attention to is, as follows. I Enlisted last fall in Co [?] 2nd Me Regt Col. C.W. Roberts Commanding. I was detailed as Hospital waiter & acted & done the Duty as such until my Hon. Discharge which was for Disability [underlined] to act & do the Duty of a Soldier [underlined] for [inserted] which I did not Enlist for. I Enlisted as Co. Cook & Capt, White enroled my name as such. I now petition your Hon to give me a place as Hospital waiter as I am some what acquainted with the Business
