Report on an Order relating to the alteration of the Law of attachments, that Legislation on that subject is inexpedient - was read & accepted - but on motion the House reconsider their vote accept - the report and recommit the same to a joint select committee consisting on the part of the House of Messrs. Carpenter of Lee, Kimball of Portland, Seaver of S. Berwick, Corbel of Lisbon, Worcester of Vinalhaven, Hastings of Robbinston, Dumont of Hallowell, Prince of Turner, Moore of Abbott and Sylvester of Hope with such as the Senate may join - sent up for concurrence -

Petition of E. F. Merrill and others to be incorporated by the name of the Belfast Screw Dock Company - was read and referred to the committee on Agriculture sent up for concurrence -

Petition of Selectmen of Gilead for increase of toll on wild river Bridge - was read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes Bridges and Canals - sent up for concurrence -

Petition of Jesse Savage and 70 others - " of Gideon Barton and 56 others in favor of the proposed Dam at Augusta - also Remonstrance of the town of Winslow - " of the town of Georgetown - against the same were read and referred to the Committee who have that subject under consideration - sent up for concurrence -

Bill - for the benefit of Aliens and others - " to annex Township No. 19. to the town of Columbia - were read a first and second time and tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a third reading -
