On motion by Mr. Dean of Biddeford, Ordered, That the Superintendant [Superintendent] of Public Buildings be required to see that the Desks of the members of this House are suitably covered & that screens are provided, for such of the back seats as may require it, as soon as convenient.
The Land Agents Report was referred to the committee on State Lands in concurrence with the Senate.
Resolve in favor of George Sawtell was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate
Resolve in favor of Henry L. Noyes was read once & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a second reading.
Notice was ordered in concurrence with the Senate on the petition of Jesse Brown & al.
Leave to withdraw was ordered in concurrence with the Senate on the petition of John Agry & al.
The House receded from their vote of yesterday on the petition of John Burnham & als, and referred the same in concurrence with the Senate to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals.
An order came from the Senate appointing Messrs. McLellan, Purinton & Greene of Somerset with such as the House may join a committee to enquire into the expediency of repealing an act additional to an act to provide for the education of youth approved March 4 1833 and the House concurred & Messrs, Cony of Orono, Benson of Winthrop, Davis of Guildford Hill of New Portland & Hawes of North Yarmouth were joined on the part of the House.
