On motion by Mr. Bolster of Rumford, Ordered, That the House assign tomorrow at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the choice of Major General of the 4th Division and also of the 8th Division of the Militia of this State, on their part.

Bill - to incorporate the Augusta High School came from the Senate with sundry amendments for concurrence - and the House so far recede from their former votes as to adopt the proposed amendments and now pass the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve authorizing a part of the School Fund to be distributed among certain towns and plantations which have failed to make any returns of the number of their scholars to the Secretary of State was read once and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill - An Act to repeal an Act additional to regulate Bank & Banking, was read 1st & 2d time and tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading

On motion by Mr. Johnson of Cornish, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of enacting a law, to authorize and require the Selectmen of the several towns of this State, to erect on the corners & lines of said towns stone monuments where the same are not now established by water. Sent up for concurrence.
