334. Monday, March 23, 1835. Resolve in favor of the Judge and Register of Probate in the Northern District in the County of Washington, was read once and this day at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Resolve to protect the State Buildings against injury from fire (introduced in the House) was read once and this day at twelve o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Mr. Fish from the Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses on the Bill additional to promote the sale and settlement of the public lands, made a report recommending the Senate to recede from their vote to nonconcur with the House in their proposed amendments and accept the same with additional amendments, as marked A,B,C,D,E,F, and G --- read and accepted, and the proposed amendments adopted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr. Randall from the Conferees on the disagreements of the two Houses relative to the amendment made by the Senate to the Bill additional establishing the Municipal Court in the City of Portland, made a report recommending the Senate to recede from their vote adopting said amendment marked R, and instead thereof adopt the amendment proposed by the Conferees marked A --- read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve authorizing the Treasurer to pay a portion of the public debt was read once and three o'clock in the afternoon assigned for a second reading.
