On motion of Mr Latham The Senate reconsider their vote of the 14th instant whereby the petition of the Selectmen of Kennebunk Port, praying for an amendment to the Constitution was referred to Messrs Latham, Spear and Strickland on the part of the Senate and refer said petition to the Joint Select Committee that have that subject under consideration in concurrence.

On motion of Mr Miller, Ordered, that the Joint Standing Committee on Banks and Banking inquire into the expediency of increasing the tax on Banks. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Committee on Roads and Bridges to enquire what alterations are necessary in the Act passed at the last Legislature for the reduction of the rates of toll of Back Cove Bridge and whether the provisions of said Act have been complied with, - read and passed in concurrence

The Committee on Parishes reported leave to withdraw on petition of Samuel M. Pond and others. - read and accepted in concurrence.
