When this board came they would not be able to advise the superintendent, they would be learning. Ques. Do you not think they can learn while on the board of trustees. Ans. They would not learn much on the board of trustees. I have nothing against the board of trustees. Ques. How many insane asylums are there in the U.S. Ans. From 80 to 100. Ques. How many of them have a female physician. Ans. About six. Ques. Do you know that five our of the six recommend the discontinuance of female physicians. Ans. No sir. Ques. Do you know that almost unanimously the rest of the number are opposed to the introduction of one. Ans. I do not. I know it is so in the outside world, that most male physicians are opposed to female physicians. Ques.
