Which Committee, having attended to the duties assigned them, reported that the Governor elect was pleased to say that he accepted the office and would for the with meet the two Houses in the Representatives Hall for the purpose of being qualified according to the Constitution.
On motion of Mr Benson. Ordered, that a message the sent to the House of Representatives, proposing a convention of both Branches of the Legislature in the Representatives Hall, forthwith, for the purpose of qualifying the Governor elect - which message was delivered by the Secretary.
A message was received that the House concurred in the foregoing proposition.
