Representatives informing them that there is a vacancy of one Senator in the second senatorial District, and that Nathaniel S. Littlefield and Hosea Ilsley are the Constitutional candidates for said vacancy; and that there is also a vacancy of two Senators in the tenth Senatorial District and that Daniel Steward Junr, Cyrus Fletcher, John H Smith and Marshall H. Whitney are the Constitutional candidates for said vacancy; and that this Board propose a Convention of the two Houses at eleven o'clock tomorrow in the Representatives Hall for the purpose of supplying the same and to ask their concurrence. Which message was delivered by the Secretary.
A message was received from the House of Representatives that they concurred in the foregoing proposition.
A communication was received from the Secretary of State in relation to the "Eleventh Report of the Prison Discipline Society" transmitting copies of said Report - read and ordered to lie on the table.
Ordered, on motion of Mr Soule, that when the Senate adjourn, it adjourn till ten o'clock tomorrow morning, and the Senate accordingly
