Rainy day and so very uncomfortable. Chaplain Adams has been to tell me that there will be a communion service at the 16th N. Y. this afternoon and invites me. Shall I attend? I have not sat at the table of the Lord since the few days previous to my "leaving for the wars." I should be overjoyed to attend the Service with the church. But[underlined]
