The dielectric behavior of SO crystal was completely investigated for different temperatures and the activation energies were calculated for different frequencies. In Ethiopia, particularly in Tana Sub-Basin, irrigation development practice is increasing. However, this development ignored the fisheries; no, enough information about its effects. The sub-basin is rich in fisheries, including the 17 Labeobarbus species (the only remaining cyprinid species in the world). The fishery is also supporting over 6000 fishers. Hence, this study investigated the impact of irrigation practices on the Gilgel Abay, Ribb, and Gumara fisheries. Methods include fish sampling below and above the weirs, expert interviews, key informant interviews, secondary data, and impact significance matrix methods. The data collection time was from July 2019 to June 2020. The analysis of the data was qualitative and quantitative. The existing irrigation system affects fisheries by blocking upstream spawning migration routes (Gilgel Abay Weir and Ribb Dam, for sure catch below the Gilgel Abay Weir, significantly higher than above the weir, Shannon Index (H'), P less then 0.001). Besides, according to local sources, after 2007, Gumara and Ribb Rivers became seasonal because of excessive water abstraction for irrigation, resulting in mass fish-killing and the failure of juvenile recruitment to the lake. In one instance, we recorded the deaths of over 930 adults and juveniles on the Gumara and the Ribb Rivers. Succeeding low water volume, even non-fishers collect fish from the pools; and during spawning time, fishers target spawning migratory species at the weirs where the catch is prime is also the other problem. Other threatening elements can also aggravate the impact. Hence, these impacts need to be ameliorated by practicing efficacious water use, catchment treatment, fishery management, fish ladder development, and factor alleviation can be solutions.
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder with a prevalence of 13000 births and a wide variety of clinical manifestations. Cutaneous neurofibromas (cNF) are among the most common visible manifestations of NF1 and present a major clinical burden for patients. NF1 patients with cNF often report decreased quality of life, emotional well-being and physical comfort. Developing effective medical therapies for cNF has been identified as a priority for the majority of adults with NF1.
The study was an open, controlled and prospective proof-of-concept clinical trial. The topical treatment consisted of two steps cNF microporation using a laser device followed by topical application of one drop of diclofenac 25 mg/mL on the surface of the cNF (T neurofibroma = treatment) or physiological saline (C neurofibroma = control) and reapplied twice daily for 3 days. Neurofibroma assessments included visual and dermatoscopy observations noting color and presence of necrosis, presence of flaccidg the treatment period.
Treatment did not result in significant alterations in terms of presence of tissue necrosis, size, or histopathological features in the T neurofibromas or in comparison to the C neurofibromas. Topical diclofenac with laser microporation was well-tolerated, with no adverse events attributable to diclofenac reported. Whether these observations are due to minimal systemic and neurofibroma exposure remain to be explored in dosage studies with larger patient groups.

Films are formed on 24- and 96-well culture plates in the combinations PEI, PAH, PEI-PSS, PEI-PSS-PAH, PEI-PSS-PEI. An analysis of the culture results show that direct contact of h-MSCs with the PEI surface promotes adhesion (93-95% of adhesive cells versus 40% in the control). On the PEI surface, h-MSCs are evenly distributed, form colonies and 80% monolayer after 72 h of culture, as in the control on culture plastic. On nanofilms from PAH and PEI-PSS-PAH, cells grow in the form of rosette-like colonies with long and thin processes similar to neurites. The cytotoxic properties of PSS were revealed in direct contact with h-MSCs (more than 40% of nonviable cells with damaged plasma membranes). On the PSS surface, cells lost their adhesiveness. To culture and stably grow the cell mass of h-MSCs, it is better to use monolayer nanofilms made of highly adhesive and non-toxic PEI polyelectrolyte, which can bind the growth factors of blood serum and platelet lysate, ensuring the growth of h-MSCs under in vitro deprivation conditions. In this research the engine performance of biodiesel made with castor oil through homogeneous alkali catalyzed transesterification was analyzed. The input variables for the performance analysis were biodiesel blend and engine speed while the response variables were break power (BP), basic specific fuel consumption (BSFC), break thermal efficiency (BTE), torque and unit cost. The engine performance was modeled using artificial neural network (ANN) and the ANN was subsequently used as the objective function for a non dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) for multi objective optimization of the engine performance. The ANN was equally coupled with a desirability function whose outputs were optimized using simulated annealing for multi objective optimization of the engine performance. Subsequent comparison of the two optimization models was done. The results show that biodiesel from castor oil could be a good replacement for biodiesels from fossil fuels. The ANN model predicted engine performance very well with the lowest value of the correlation coefficient between the experimental responses and ANN predictions being 0.9733. The multi objective optimization using desirability function performed excellently well with the optimum blend and speed being 78.7% and 1754.48 rpm respectively. The Pareto front from the NSGA-II algorithm generally has high desirability values. The Pareto front solution which is more flexible than the desirability function solution would serve as an excellent guide for engine designers. selleck chemicals llc Finally, castor oil based biodiesel cost was for the first time integrated into engine performance optimization studies.
