In the County of Penobscot the whole number of Votes is 1,434 necessary to constitute an election 718 Joseph Kelsey Esqr. has 1,140 and is chosen.
Your Committee have rejected the Votes of the towns of Sweden, Andover, Bethel and Greenwood and the Votes of Plantation Number eight in the County of Oxford, and the votes of the towns of Sullivan and Sedgwick and the votes of Plantation number eight and nine in the County of Hancock, it not appearing by the returns made, how many votes were given for each candidate.
They have rejected the Votes given to Robert P. Dunlap, James C. Churchill and Josiah Dunn Jr. in the town of Harpswell in the County of Cumberland, and the votes given to Samuel Whitney and Mark Shepard in the town of Lincolnville in the County of Hancock, it not appearing by the returns made, how many votes were given to each candidate in either of said towns.
Your Committee have rejected the Votes of Palermo in the County of Lincoln, because the name of the town or county or the time of holding the meeting, are not specified in the body of the return, as required by law. They have also rejected the votes from the Plantation of Fryeburg Addition in the County of Oxford, the copy of the List not being signed on the face of it, by the Assessors of said Plantation. They have rejected the votes from the town of Harmony in the County
