Petition of Charles Hayden, Agent for the town of Winslow, was read and referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.
Petition of James Pomroy for increase of pension; " of Joseph Emery 3d. for aid in consequence of damage done his horse on muster parade; & " of Reuel Weston for a Pension, referred in the House to the Committee on Applications from sick and wounded soldiers, came up for concurrence, were read and concurred.
On motion of Mr. Holland, Ordered that a Message be sent to the House, proposing a Convention of the two Houses at 11 O clock this day for the purpose of qualifying Elias Stowell Esqr. a Councillor elect, for the current year.
A message was then received from the House concurring with the Senate in the foregoing proposition.
Petition of Jeremiah Clough and others for a law to protect unmarked logs, was read & referred to Messrs. Scamman & Holland with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence, was concurred and Messrs. McCobb, Frost & Spring were joined.
