[Committee on Salaries of Judges of Probate] On motion of Mr. Fairbanks, Ordered that Messrs. Fairbanks and Holland be a Committee with such as the House may join, to take into consideration the salaries now allowed by law to Judges of Probate, and what alteration is necessary, if any, and report by Bill or otherwise: Sent down for concurrence, was concurred and Messrs. Goodenow, Eaton and Snow were joined.
On motion of Mr. Holland, Ordered that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to Monday next at ten Oclock.
[Bills] Bill additional to "An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Readfield Religious and Charitable Society," was read once and Monday next at 10 Oclock assigned for 2d Reading. Committed to the Committee on Bills in the 2d Reading.
Bill to incorporate the Gardiner Iron Manufacturing Company, was read once and committed and Monday next at 10 Oclock assigned for a 2d Reading.
Bill establishing an additional term of the Supreme Judicial Court and Court of Common Pleas for the County of Oxford, and for other purposes, was read once and committed, and Monday next at 10 Oclock assigned for a 2d Reading:
[Resolve] Resolve for the admission of Nathaniel M. Lowney to practice as an attorney, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House.
