The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table a special message from the Governor, informing the resignation of Major General Blossom of the sixth Division of the Militia of this State: Read and sent down.

Bill additional to an Act respecting Houses of Correction, and for suppressing and punishing roques[?], vagabonds, beggars and other idle or disorderly persons,” came up with amendments in a new draft, and the Senate so far reconsider their former vote as to pass the same to be engrossed in concurrence.

Order of yesterday directing the committee on State Lands to inquire what lands, if any, belong to Massachusetts and Maine adjoining the town of Gilead &c.” came up nonconcurred, and the Senate insist upon their vote by which they passed the same: sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine,” came up, and the House refuse the same a passage: The Senate reconsider their former vote, nonconcur the House, and refer the subject to the next Legislature: sent down for concurrence.
