12. On motion by Mr Potter of Augusta Ordered that a committee be appointed to contract with some suitable persona at a price not exceeding one dollar each night to have the charge of and to watch the State House in the night time during the present session of the Legislature - and Messrs Potter of Augusta, Smith of Palmyra & Ide of Frankfort were appointed said Committee.

On motion by Mr Scamman of Pittston. Ordered That a committee be appointed to wait on the several regularly officiating Clergymen in the town of Augusta & respectfully request them to perform the services of Chaplain in this House in rotation on the morning of each day of the present session of the Legislature - & Messrs Scamman of Pittston, Fletcher of Thomaston & Wilson of Bingham were appointed said Committee.

On motion by Mr Holmes of Alfred, Ordered, That Messrs Holmes of Alfred, Tobin of Hartford, Perkins of Kennebunkport, Potter of Augusta & Tuttle of Canaan with such as the Senate may join be a Committee to report such alterations in the joint rules and orders as may be deemed necessary.

On motion by Mr Meldrum of Wells, Ordered, That this House hold but one session per day commencing at ten oclock in the morning until otherwise ordered.

And then the House adjourned.
