35. the Androscoggin River in the town of Bethel, was read & referred to the Committee on Roads & Bridges. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Winslow Hall & others of Gorham to be annexed to Windham - of Peleg Mitchell & others of Hartford to be annexed to Canton - were severally read and referred to the Committee on the Division of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Harris & others for an Academy at Bethel - was read & referred to the Committee on Literature & Literary Institutions. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of the Inhabitants of Camden in their corporate capacity for an amendment of the Constitution, was read & referred to Messrs Perkins of Kennebunkport, Chase of Camden, Chadbourne of Standish, Stanley of Dixfield, Lord of Buxton, McDowell of Washington, Davis of Mt. Vernon, Whitmore of Kirkland, Bridges of Charlotte & Lake of Bucksport with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Sally Southers for leave to change her name Stephen Rogers for same - Joseph Littlefield 5th for same - were severally read & referred to the Committee on change of names.
