37. Ordered, That the Committee on State Lands be instructed to enquire into the expediency of allowing each Revolutionary soldier or widow of the deceased soldier whose claim has been allowed & certificates issued thereon a sum not less than one hundred dollars in lieu thereof to be paid out of the State Treasury.

On motion by Mr Sproul of Waldoboro', Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be requested to enquire into the expediency of providing by Law for the improvement of real estate held as Dower, so that the improvements may be secure to those making the same.

The following deferred business came from the Senate and was referred in concurrence as follows viz To the Committee on Roads & Bridges. Report on petitions of James Libbey & others Moses Copeland & others John G Paine & others Oliver Crawford & others Haunce Robinson & others praying that they may have leave to build a Bridge over George's River Report on petition of Nathaniel Dingley & others to be incorporated to build a Bridge across Kennebec River at Winslow - Report on petition of Ichabod Jordan & others praying that the County Commissioners of York County may be authorized to locate a public highway over Saco River

Report on petition of Ladock Humphrey & others praying that the Commissioners of Cumberland County with the City of Portland may be authorized to lay out a Road over tide waters & over Tuckeys Bridge
