72. Petition of Tisdale Dean & others for an act to protect the fisheries in Penobscot River was read and referred to the Committee on Interior Fisheries. Sent up for concurrence.
Petition of Edward Paul & others for a rail road from Belfast to the Canada line - " Phinehas Ashman & others on the same subject were severally read & referred to the Committee on Rail Roads. Sent up for concurrence.
Petition of Jonas Jewett & others in relation to mill dams - - Edmund Dresser & others on the same subject were severally read & referred to the Committee on Agriculture. Sent up for concurrence.
Petitions of Tobias Purinton - - " Wentworth Quimby - - " Eliza Dolph - each asking for leave to change his name, were several read & referred to the Committee on Change of Names.
