87. On motion of Mr Hobbs of Eastport Ordered, That the Committee on State Roads be instructed to inquire into the manner in which the Baring & Houlton Road has been constructed and to make report of such facts in relation thereto as may be proved before them. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Higgins of Exeter, Ordered That the Committee on the Judiciary be a Committee to enquire into the expediency of passing a Law directing those who print the laws of the State to print the laws in Pamphlet form. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An act prescribing the mode of making and repairing public Highways, was called up and assigned for consideration at 10 oclock on Tuesday next

Petitions of Aaron Frost & others for a dam & mills &c - - George Williamson & others for leave to run a ferry Boat between Gardiner & Pittston - " - Mark Leighton & others for leave to build a dam & mills &c Memorial of Phillip Bullen & others for a horse ferry Boat to run between Gardiner and Pittston were severally read & referred to the Committee on Interior Waters. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Thomas Gray & others - - " Isaac Perry & others - in relation to the fisheries in Penobscot River, were severally read & referred to the Committee on Interior Fisheries Sent up for concurrence.
